I bought the Shark Evoline 2st because I got tired of switching faceshields every time I went out. She’s got an inner tinted visor & outer non-tinted shield. It’s also convertible. In Addition I bought the Sena SMH10 Bluetooth headset (pair) so I can listen to music, talk to friends & not have to worry about cords all over the place.
Got a new helmet.
Dyno Tuned my Power Commander IIIusb
I finally decided to get a custom fuel map for my Power Commander.
Long story short, here’s my Dyno Graph with both before & after tuning:
The bike feels smoother in it’s application of power.
I was running way too rich at the top end.
So it’s now leaned for economy at cruise and power any time I roll on the throttle.
Thunder Mfg., right next to the Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, is who did the tuning & Travis is the guy in the photo, he’s the son of the owner & a very knowledgable and nice guy.
Riding season is fast approaching.
Finally, the weather here in Phoenix is getting nice again, at least at night.
I bought a new seat last season that I havn’t even used once, it’ll be nice to get out on her & see how she rides. I hope to get her Dyno tuned sometime soon as I have had a Power Commander III USB in her for some time but have only downloaded other peoples tunes. I am sure she’s got some more power to give in there if I can find the time & $$ to get her tuned.
Harley’s are supposed to leak!
This was one of the better April Fools jokes I’ve ever come up with.
A new guy at work (Ty) had just purchased a new Harley. I had some avaition oil in the trunk of my car & decided to put it to good use as an oil spot under his brand new bike.
I didn’t just stop there, I dabbed a little on his oil drain bolts & on the frame for authenticity.
This worked out beautifully because he didn’t know me very well, and it was a Harley. I couldn’t figure out how to tell him his bike was leaking oil without cracking up, but while was planning that part of the prank, a few co-workers walked by & noticed it. They told Ty right away & he went to check it out. I got photos of the whole thing out of a mirrored window in our building.
My riding gear:
“Biker’s Dream Apparel” Leather Jacket, I’ve got the matching vest as well for warm days. This jacket & helmet almost look like they were made to be together. Looking to get some chaps for the cooler days, but they have to look cool, or I just can’t be seen wearing them. I just don’t want to embarass my bike, it wouln’t be right.
